Job summary

Crane Valve Services is seeking a Valve Technician for a seasonal contract. Responsibilities include disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling various valve types, performing repacks and gasket replacements, and conducting blue checks on valves.

Must read blueprints and work safely with a strong team orientation. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, and must meet CRANE Nuclear QAP-2.0 certification requirements or pass the General Valve exam.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Mechanical knowledge a plus.
• Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work in teams while effectively communicating.
• Meet CRANE Nuclear QAP-2.0 certification/qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties safely and in accordance with customer or CRANE procedures.
• Disassemble, inspect, measure, and assemble various types of valves.
• Perform valve repacks and adjustments including packing consolidation.
• Replace valve body to bonnet gaskets, flange gaskets, and other gaskets as necessary.
• Perform valve blue checks.
• Replace valve parts.
