Crane Valve Services is seeking a Valve Technician for a seasonal contract. Responsibilities include disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling various valve types, performing repacks and gasket replacements, and conducting blue checks on valves.
Must read blueprints and work safely with a strong team orientation. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, and must meet CRANE Nuclear QAP-2.0 certification requirements or pass the General Valve exam.
Reports To Valve Supervisor, Shift Coordinator, or Project Manager
Performs valve repacks inclusive of removing packing, cleaning, inspection, installation of new packing, consolidation of packing, and adjustment of packing. Replaces rising stem valve body to bonnet gaskets. Replaces butterfly valve flange gaskets. Performs valve disassembly, inspections, blue checks, measurements, parts replacement, and reassembly. Capable of working on gates, globes, check, butterfly, and ball valves.
Note, this is a seasonal contract position.
