Job summary

Uncommon Goods is seeking a UV Printing Operator in New York to set up, run, and monitor UV printers for personalized products. You’ll work closely with the production team to ensure prints meet quality standards and are shipped on time during peak seasons.

The role requires hands-on operation, attention to detail, and ability to maintain equipment, with a Monday–Friday schedule and 32–40 hours per week. Prior experience with UV direct printing and color management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience operating UV direct printing equipment.
• Familiarity with print production workflows and color management.
• Ability to read production specs and ensure alignment with schedules.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor UV printing equipment to produce personalized products.
• Prepare print files and artwork for production, including positioning and sizing.
• Load, align, and secure substrates on printing fixtures.
• Perform test prints and adjust settings to maintain quality.
• Inspect finished products for color accuracy and defects.
• Follow production workflows and daily schedules to meet targets.
• Perform routine cleaning and calibration of printers and equipment.
• Troubleshoot common printing issues and escalate complex problems.
• Handle inks and materials safely per safety guidelines.
• Record production counts and quality checks for traceability.
• Collaborate with team to resolve challenges and prioritize rush orders.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Support cross-training and related production tasks.
