Job summary

UPS is seeking Casual Tractor Trailer Drivers to move freight between UPS locations or to customers on established routes, returning home at the end of each day. This seasonal role may lead to a permanent position with enhanced benefits.

The base pay is $23.00/hour with competitive weekly pay. You must hold a valid Class A CDL, pass a DOT physical, and follow UPS appearance guidelines and the company uniform. Work may include days, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license in home state.
• Doubles/Triples endorsement may be needed depending on location.
• Pass the DOT physical.
• Reliability and responsibility, plus a love of truck driving.
• Legal right to work in the U.S.
• Casual drivers must comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear the uniform.

Responsibilities

• Drive a tractor trailer between UPS locations or to a customer on an established route.

Who exactly are UPS Casual Tractor Trailer Drivers?

First and foremost, they’re part of one strong, national team and are a key part of our operations. We refer to them as feeder drivers. They drive a tractor trailer from one UPS location to another—or to a customer on an established route—before returning to their original location. So, after driving our well‑maintained trucks, casual tractor trailer drivers are back home at the end of their day.

What does it take to keep packages moving across the country—and beyond?

• Casual tractor trailer drivers work days, nights and/or weekends
• Valid Class A CDL license (commercial driver’s license) in home state

Permanent, full‑time delivery drivers receive an average total compensation package of $145,000 per year. That includes $0 healthcare premiums, up to seven weeks of paid vacation, plus paid time off for holidays, sick leave and option days.
