Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; continued education/certifications pursued as per IRS/state requirements
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping including individual and business returns
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients
• Completion of continuing education and compliance with IRS/state requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations (individual and business)
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and life changes for personalized recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment
