Qualifications

• Complete HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year in tax preparation or related finance work
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED is required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations (individual and business)
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and life changes, and provide personalized recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
