Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to join a local Tucson tax office in person. You will prepare returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to understand their financial situations, and provide personalized recommendations while building lasting client relationships.

You will work with leading training and technology, earn a competitive hourly rate, and participate in an incentive plan that rewards impact as you develop tax expertise and serve clients.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications.
• Deliver empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a client-focused office environment.
