H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns for individuals and small businesses, interview clients to understand life changes and tax implications, and offer personalized recommendations.

You will build trusted relationships, identify tax savings opportunities, provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed, and collaborate with a team in an in-person office.

Qualifications

• Must complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent.
• Required one year of experience in tax preparation or related field.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative role is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications — then provide clear, personalized recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
