H&R Block, a leading tax services firm, is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to join our local tax office in Tennessee. You will prepare returns, interview clients, and advise on tax savings with training and technology support.

In this role, you’ll build lasting client relationships, deliver consultative service, and help clients navigate complex tax situations while earning an hourly rate and an incentive plan based on impact.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive office environment
