H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete and accurate returns for individuals and businesses.

You will interview clients, explain tax concepts in simple terms, and uncover tax savings opportunities with guidance from industry-leading training and tools. You will work in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, delivering empathetic, consultative service and building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including explaining tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office environment
