Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs, building relationships and delivering expert guidance with the support of a national tax team.

You'll conduct tax interviews (in person or virtually), prepare complete and accurate returns, and look for opportunities to grow the business while ensuring IRS compliance. The role includes training, collaboration with senior staff, and opportunities to expand client services during peak season.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support (including audit representation where applicable)
• Mentor and support teammates

Skills

5+ years experience in accounting,fin&

Experience completing complex returns

Experience conducting virtual taxinter

Experience with tax planning and audit

Sales and/or marketing experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
