Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You will prepare accurate returns, interview clients, and deliver personalized recommendations in-person at a local H&R Block office.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of tax prep experience, strong communication, and familiarity with tax software. This role offers competitive hourly pay and an incentive plan, with opportunities to grow in tax and financial services

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment and compliance with IRS/state requirements.
• Minimum 1 year of tax prep or related experience including individual and business returns.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative or advisory roles; strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications.
• Provide clear, personalized recommendations and discuss tax savings opportunities.
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
