Job summary

H&R Block in California is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations, including individuals and businesses. You will interview clients to understand finances and tax implications, and offer personalized recommendations.

You'll build trusted relationships, identify tax savings opportunities, provide IRS support and audit guidance, and collaborate with teammates in a client-focused office environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
