H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence.

You'll prepare accurate returns, interview clients, and offer personalized recommendations using industry-leading training and technology. In this in-person role at a local tax office, you will build lasting client relationships, identify tax savings opportunities, and support clients through IRS notices with clear, consultative service.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field, including individual and business returns
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications; provide clear recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notices, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
