Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex returns. You will prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to understand financial situations, and offer tailored recommendations.

You will build trusted client relationships, identify tax savings opportunities, and provide IRS support, notices, and audit guidance as needed. This role is in-person at a local H&R Block office and offers training, a competitive hourly

Qualifications

• Successful completion of HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation experience including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide personalized tax-saving recommendations and highlight HR Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notices, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with the team and contribute to a positive, client-focused office.
