Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns and advise clients in a local California office. You will conduct client interviews, identify tax-saving opportunities, and deliver clear recommendations in a supportive, consultative manner.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide clear, personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
