Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare returns, interview clients, and identify savings opportunities at a local tax office in Wilmington, NC. This is an in-person role. Minimum one year of tax/related experience, HS diploma, and ability to explain tax concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field, including individual/business returns.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain tax concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financials and tax implications and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, notices, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive office environment.
