Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Experienced Tax Professional for in-person seasonal work. You will prepare complete returns for individuals and small businesses, conduct client interviews, and identify tax savings opportunities, supported by training and technology.

You will build lasting client relationships, provide IRS and tax notice guidance, and collaborate with your office team to deliver superior service.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment 1
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
