Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 1+ year of experience in tax preparation or related field, including individual & business returns
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with complex tax situations (individual and business)
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and life changes
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team, share knowledge, and maintain a positive client-focused office environment
