H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete, accurate tax returns and provide client-focused guidance at a local tax office.

You will interview clients, identify tax savings opportunities, and support IRS issues with access to Block's training and technology.

This in-person role offers competitive hourly pay and an incentive plan as you build tax expertise and serve clients.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) or similar credential preferred
• Experience with complex returns, tax planning, audit support, or tax notice resolution

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications
• Provide tax savings opportunities and recommend H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team and maintain a positive client-focused office environment
