Qualifications

• Must complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain tax concepts to clients
• Must meet IRS and applicable state continuing education requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with complex situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial life changes and tax implications
• Provide personalized tax-saving recommendations and identify opportunities for HR Block products
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance when needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment
