Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns, interview clients to understand their financials, and provide personalized tax-saving guidance in a local office.

You’ll deliver empathetic, consultative service, build lasting client relationships, and leverage H&R Block technology and training to grow your tax expertise. This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field
• Experience in client-facing roles with consultative service
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations (individuals and businesses)
• Conduct client interviews to understand financials and tax implications
• Provide tax savings opportunities and recommend H&R Block products
• Offer IRS support, notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office environment
