Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individuals and small businesses. You will interview clients to understand their financials, then offer personalized recommendations and savings opportunities, while delivering empathetic, consultative service.

You’ll collaborate with a team in a local tax office, supported by H&R Block training and technology.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation or related experience
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations including individuals and businesses
• Conduct client interviews to understand financials and tax implications and provide recommendations
• Build trusted relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
