Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns, interview clients, and identify tax savings opportunities at a local H&R Block office in person.

You will deliver empathetic, consultative service and build lasting client relationships through tax expertise and robust training. Role requires client-facing communication, ability to explain tax concepts clearly, and adherence to IRS/state continuing education requirements.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or enrollment/ completion.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide clear, personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment.
