Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 1 year of experience in tax prep, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping including individual and business returns
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations (individual and business)
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and life changes
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment
