H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You will prepare accurate returns, uncover savings opportunities, and build lasting client relationships supported by training and technology.

This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office in Missouri, offering an hourly rate and incentive plan based on impact and performance.

Qualifications

Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.
Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and implications, then provide clear recommendations.
Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities.
Provide IRS notice support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
Collaborate with team members and contribute to a client-focused office environment.
