Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to serve as a trusted advisor, preparing complete and accurate returns for clients with diverse situations.

You'll conduct in-depth client interviews, provide personalized recommendations, and identify tax savings opportunities while leveraging training and technology to support clients in a friendly, office-based environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients, including individual and business returns.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications; provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notices, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
