Job summary

H&R Block in Virginia is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations, including individuals and businesses. You will conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial life changes and tax implications.

You will build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service, identify tax savings opportunities, and provide IRS support and audit guidance when needed.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills; able to explain tax concepts simply.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns.
