Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements, high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and life changes
• Provide clear personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
