Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns and uncover savings opportunities in a local in-person tax office.

You will interview clients, explain tax concepts clearly, and build lasting client relationships while leveraging leading training and technology. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of tax experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing IRS/state requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation experience, including individuals and businesses.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles with clear explanations.
• Must meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements, with a HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse clients.
• Interview clients to understand finances and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and cross-sell H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, notices assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain a client-focused office.
