Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional in Overland Park, KS to prepare complete, accurate returns for individuals and businesses while interviewing clients to understand their financial situations and tax implications. Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma/GED/equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
