Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete tax returns for individuals and small businesses, interview clients to understand their financial situations, and deliver personalized recommendations.

You will leverage our training, trusted software, and an incentive plan to build lasting client relationships while delivering accurate, compliant results at a local tax office.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 1 year minimum tax prep/accounting/finance experience including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet continuing education requirements and IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and implications; provide recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notices, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
