Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complex tax returns and advise clients in-person at a local office. You will interview clients to understand finances, identify savings opportunities, and deliver personalized recommendations with support from industry-leading training and technology.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field
• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Strong communication and client-facing skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide clear, personalized recommendations and build trusted client relationships
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
