H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate for an in-person, local tax office. You will gather client information, prepare returns, and answer questions with training from day one.

Earn an hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows, and participate in a supportive, client-first team environment during peak tax season. Previous tax coursework is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the H&R Block Income Tax Course or enrollment
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations
• Identify tax savings opportunities and suggest relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving to analyze client information and address questions with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork
