Job summary

Liberty Tax Service in North Las Vegas is seeking a Tax Preparer who will prepare individual and small business returns, interview clients, gather documentation, and ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws.

You will stay current with federal and state regulations, use tax software and Microsoft Office, and deliver excellent customer service during peak season; weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Must have PTIN or eligible to receive.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and small business tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Review financial records to determine forms needed for tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Provide outstanding customer service by addressing client concerns and questions.
• Conduct client interviews to gather information about their tax situation.

• Verify the accuracy of data entered into tax software.
• Maintain organized records of client interactions and returns.
• Keep client files up to date and follow up on missing information.
