Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to assist clients with complex tax situations at a local tax office.

You will prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to understand finances, and provide personalized tax-saving recommendations. You will build trusted relationships with clients and offer relevant H&R Block products while delivering empathetic, consultative service.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and H&R Block products.
• Offer IRS support, tax notices assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
