Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional for an in-person office in Florida. You will prepare complete tax returns, interview clients to understand finances, and identify tax-saving opportunities while delivering empathetic, advisory service.

You’ll work with industry-leading training and technology, earning a competitive hourly rate and participating in an incentive plan as you build your tax expertise and serve clients.

Qualifications

• Completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment 1.
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation experience including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS and state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications, then provide clear recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
