Job summary

H&R Block in Orlando, FL is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You will prepare accurate returns, identify savings opportunities, and build lasting client relationships using our training and technology.

You’ll work in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, delivering empathetic, consultative service and ensuring compliance with IRS and state requirements. Prior tax prep experience is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment1.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand finances and tax implications, then advise.
