Qualifications

• Must have completed the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields including individual and business returns.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.
• Strong communication skills to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations including individual and business returns.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
