H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and to participate in advanced tax training. The role emphasizes conducting tax interviews, preparing returns, and supporting clients with IRS matters in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, CPA/EA certification, and 5+ years in accounting or tax, with experience in virtual interviews and tax planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support (all certification levels can provide tax notice services; Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation).
• Mentor and support teammates.
