Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to guide clients through complex tax situations, prepare returns, and offer personalized recommendations.

You will interview clients, identify savings opportunities, and leverage block-specific training and technology to deliver accurate results. You will build lasting relationships with clients, provide support during IRS notices, and collaborate with your office team to maintain a high standard of service while benefiting from

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and implications
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment
