Job summary

You will interview clients to understand financial changes and provide clear recommendations, supported by training and technology.

This in-person role emphasizes service and accuracy. You will help identify savings opportunities, deliver empathetic, consultative service, and assist with tax notices and audit support as needed

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment1.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in a client facing, consultative or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for client-friendly explanations.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS and state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent requirement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications.
• Provide clear, personalized recommendations and tax savings opportunities.
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
