Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns, interview clients, and deliver personalized recommendations. In this in-person role, you will help clients navigate complex tax situations, uncover savings opportunities, and build lasting relationships with strong support from industry-leading training and technology.

You will work in a local H&R Block tax office, collaborating with team members to provide empathetic, consultative service and tax

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide tax savings opportunities and recommend H&R Block products
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive client-focused office environment
