From January 2027 through April 2027, you will prepare federal and state returns under a CPA's supervision, gathering client information and ensuring accuracy.

Qualifications

• Previous tax preparation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of individual federal and state income tax returns preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client returns and deadlines during a busy tax season.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working directly with clients.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office.
• Accounting, bookkeeping, or business tax experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate federal and state income tax returns for CPA review.
• Review client tax documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify missing information and communicate with clients as needed.
• Apply current federal and state tax laws when preparing returns.
