Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate in California to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training from experienced teammates.

You will explain tax concepts clearly, identify savings opportunities, and provide recommendations, while building strong client relationships. No prior tax experience required; training and support start from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems (e.g., AI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT).
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities
