WNA CPAs is seeking an experienced Seasonal Tax Manager to lead reviews of individual and business returns during the filing season while mentoring staff and delivering high-quality client service.
This role offers flexible scheduling with hybrid or remote work options, significant autonomy over client relationships, and an emphasis on accuracy and proactive tax guidance. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in public accounting and strong communication under tight deadlines.
WNA CPAs is seeking an experienced tax professional to join our team for the upcoming tax season in a manager-level review and client service role.
Seasonal managers at WNA carry real client relationships, review complex returns, and provide technical guidance to our staff. You will be trusted with meaningful work from day one, and compensated for every hour you put in.
If you want the challenge and variety of tax work without a year-round commitment, or you are exploring a firm before making a permanent move, this may be the opportunity for you.
Unlike many public accounting firms, our professional staff are compensated for the time they work. We believe exceptional performance should be rewarded, not penalized. In staff surveys, flexibility is consistently identified as one of the firm’s greatest strengths. Whether you prefer to start your day early, work later in the day, work remotely part of the week, or attend important family events, we believe great professionals can also have fulfilling lives outside of work.
At WNA, we trust our professionals to manage their responsibilities, make informed decisions, and take ownership of their work. Our team operates within a clearly defined priority system that provides direction while allowing individuals the flexibility and autonomy to determine the most effective path forward. We believe talented professionals do their best work when they are empowered to think critically, solve problems, and contribute ideas—not simply follow instructions.
This position is ideal for an experienced tax professional who can step into a busy season and immediately add value through review, technical guidance, and client service.
The most successful candidates are technically strong, client-focused, collaborative, and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy. They take initiative, manage competing priorities effectively, communicate proactively, and don’t wait for someone to tell them the next step. They enjoy being trusted to make decisions, solve problems, and take ownership of outcomes while contributing to the success of the broader team.
The Seasonal Tax Manager prepares and reviews individual and business tax returns during the filing season while serving as a technical resource for staff and clients.
This position performs detailed reviews of the team’s work to ensure quality, thoroughness, and on-time completion, manages engagement schedules and time budgets, and conducts tax research as needed.
This role requires a proactive professional who can operate independently within the firm’s established priorities while exercising sound judgment, communicating effectively, and taking ownership of client service and project outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills and the ability to produce accurate work under filing-season deadlines.
