Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate for an in-person role at a local tax office. You will meet with clients to collect information, prepare tax returns with support from experienced teammates, and explain tax concepts clearly. Training is provided and you can build valuable client-service skills.

The position offers an hourly wage with opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows. Availability for peak periods and weekends is a plus; in-office work is required.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, incl. explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address questions or unique situations using guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
