Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office. No prior tax experience is required, as comprehensive training and hands-on support will be provided from day one.

You will meet with clients, gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building essential client relationships. This in-person role offers an hourly pay with opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
