Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join our in-person tax office. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training from experienced teammates.

While no prior tax experience is required, you’ll learn to explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build strong client relationships through teamwork. Compensation is hourly and responsive to learning and performance during peak season.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
