Job summary

H&R Block in Oregon is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns. You will work with trained teammates, explain tax information clearly, and identify savings opportunities while building client relationships.

The role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office. No prior tax experience is required; training and support are provided to help you grow knowledge and earnings during peak tax season, including opportunities to increase pay

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
